Bio

Valter Roesler is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), where he is affiliated with both the Institute of Informatics and the Graduate Program in Informatics in Education (PPGIE). He coordinates the PRAV (Audio and Video Projects) Laboratory and holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UFRGS, including a Ph.D. in Computer Science. His research focuses on computer networks, multimedia systems, telemedicine, telehealth, video coding, digital TV, and technology-enhanced education. Throughout his career, he has led several innovation and technology transfer initiatives, particularly in advanced multimedia systems for healthcare and collaborative environments, while also contributing to the creation of research-based entrepreneurial ventures.
